RFQ Notes : Data Warehouse SDF Solution DeveloperKey Requirements:* 7 years experience providing hands-on leadership for complex ETL delivery initiatives for data warehouses* Minimum of 3 years IBM DataStage experience, version 7.5 expeience REQUIRED* Also experience in DB2/UDB version 8 and 9.5, AIX, ZEKE scheduler, Clearcase, Clearquest, SQL, DB2 Stored Procedures. Knowledge of other toolsets used to deliver ETL solutions is a plus (Informatica, Abinitio, SAS, etc.)Other Information:JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Designs and develops the Enterprise Data Warehouse Strategic ETL Development Framework (SDF). Leverages expertise in ETL technologies and tools to identify reusable processes within ETL requirements. Designs and develops components of the SDF to support the functionality of those processes. Works with other members of the development team to extend facility with the SDF to all team members.* Serve as a subject matter expert to projects during solutioning. Identify opportunities to leverage ETL technologies to deliver business value and reduce cost.* Prepare estimates for project work.* Provide technical leadership to a small development team.* Ensure all projects are delivered on time within budget.* Performs task management and status reporting for small development team efforts.* Work with development managers and resource managers to secure appropriate staffing for projects.* Lead and mentor project teams in the design and development of ETL solutions.* Works closely with business and IT management to ensure solution delivery across complex business requirements and processes and recommend solutions across diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies, tools, purchased solutions etc. * Researches and evaluates Enterprise wide solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solutions to meet business strategic direction. * Supports and promotes the reuse of assets across the organization. * Ensures analysis and system design in support of multi-business systems integration.* Provides highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies, which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives. Enforces the utilization of accepted methodology and tools in a disciplined manner, which may include execution of key technical reviews at project gates/milestones.SKILL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS * A minimum of 7 years experience providing hands-on leadership for complex ETL delivery initiatives for data warehouses using industry standard toolsets.* Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of system design and implementation.* Knowledge of Industry Systems/Software Engineering processes and techniques.* Demonstrated expertise in the technical suite in use within the application: DB2/UDB version 8 and 9.5, AIX, IBM DataStage version 7.5, ZEKE scheduler, Clearcase, Clearquest, SQL, DB2 Stored Procedures. Knowledge of other toolsets used to deliver ETL solutions is a plus (Informatica, Abinitio, SAS, etc.)* A minimum of 5 years experience working within structured project methodologies.* Experience with Healthcare payer business.* Extensive knowledge of the system development life cycle, the client area's functions and systems, and application program development alternatives.* Technical leadership skills.* Excellent communication skills.* Analytical ability.* Ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff.
