Knowledge of Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, JDBC, JNDI, Spring/Jersey REST API Overview: The Senior Java Programmer would be responsible for analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation of the firm's application programs that support the Foreign Exchange system. The individual will provide solution design, estimates for development components of a solution, ensure best practices and standards are followed. Key areas of responsibility: · Developing application functionality meeting business requirements · Developing application functionality with an eye toward standards, simplicity, performance and robustness · Contributing to application design and database/data model design Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree or more in Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience · 7+ years application development experience, strong java developer · Experience with Core Java, Multithreading and Concurrency control · Knowledge of Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, JDBC, JNDI, Spring/Jersey REST API · Strong experience in building efficient SQL queries, stored procedures (preferably using Oracle, SQL Server) with deep understanding of data modeling · Knowledge of different message formats and parsers for: XML, JSON, CSV, Fixed Length · Knowledge of communication protocols like FTP, SMTP, JMS, MQ, Web services, RPC & FIX · Experience with WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat, JBOSS · Experience with SVN, Github, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, Gradle, Junit, Scrum/Agile · Excellent requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, documentation and communication skills · Ability to work in diverse teams across multiple locations · Experience working on real time high throughput transaction processing systems Nice to Have: · Expertise in developing applications using AngularJS, node.JS, JQuery, JavaScript, React, HTML5, CSS, XSLT · Expertise with Spring Boot, Quartz, Esper · Expertise with shell and batch scripting
